Careers in Wildlife Biology and Vertebrate Zoology? ?

Beginning in the fall of 2009 I'll be attending college in pursuit of a B.S. (and maybe a M.S.) in Wildlife and Fisheries Science. I'm interested in jobs dealing with research in ecology and evolution among vertebrates and their ecosystems. I need some ideas of jobs that I might be able to obtain, good jobs that pay at least $50,000 annually, with this type of degree. Any ideas?Careers in Wildlife Biology and Vertebrate Zoology? ?
The life of a science major with only a BS (sometimes even an MS) is not very lucrative. I suggest you continue your education. Starting out you will NOT make more than 50K in a research position. You have to prove your worth before you will make any money. Most jobs if you work them long enough will eventually get you more than 50K though.

Have you thought of becoming a professor?... can be very financially rewarding if you are able to get your work published, bring in funds, and make a name for the school.

Good luck and best wishes. :)
